Mysterious Loud Boom Rocks Central Jersey: Did You Feel It?

Multiple Central Jersey residents were baffled by a loud boom that shook their houses on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Ring app users reported hearing and feeling the massive explosion around noon.

One person speculated some commotion at Naval Weapons Station Earle, in Colts Neck, and another said this is not the first time that the boom has occurred.

"This has been going on for a few months and nobody knows what it is," they wrote, noting it's "very strange" and seems to be getting "more widespread and louder."
